When can I check in, and what if I arrive late?
Check-in is from 3 to 10 pm. If you arrive later, your key waits in the code safe at the entrance; we text you the code on the day.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, with every room rate on our website. Guests without breakfast and day visitors pay €19 per person.
Are dogs welcome?
In the family room and the fireplace suite, yes, for €18 per night including a blanket and bowl. Please mention your dog when booking.
Is there parking and EV charging?
Twelve free parking spaces at the house and two 11 kW charging points; charging is added to your room bill.
How do I get to you without a car?
Take the Höllental railway to Hinterzarten, then it is a 12-minute walk. Tell us your arrival time and we will pick you up at the station.
Can I cancel for free?
That depends on the rate: “Flexible” can be cancelled free of charge until 3 days before arrival, “Prepaid” is cheaper but non-refundable. All rules are in the cancellation terms.
When is the sauna open?
Daily from 4 to 9 pm for hotel guests, at no extra charge. Bathrobes and sauna towels are in your room.
What is the best way to see the stars?
On nights with little moon between October and March. The rooftop observatory opens at dusk on clear evenings; the reception tells you whether tonight looks good.
